Is water so important?
Water is the main component of the human body, making up about 2/3 of who we are, and directly influencing 100 percent of our body processes. In fact, the body is composed of about 60% to 70% water (depending on your body size).
Regular water intake has numerous health benefits. It has no calories, fat, carbohydrates or sugar. Health experts strongly advise drinking 8 to 10 glasses every day to maintain good health. Every cell in the human body needs water too function properly, so it’s absolutely essential to stay hydrated with water in your system in order to stay healthy on the move.
Where you get drinking water?
Not much care goes into questioning where ‘drinking water’ is sourced from. Generally, drinking water comes from a municipal source or unprotected water zone from streams and rivers to cisterns and poorly constructed wells polluted with bacteria, nitrates, e-coil, herbicides and pesticides. Though tap water was considered safe for drinking (since it goes through a process of distillation at municipal water treatment plants), it seems that now more chlorine and other additives have been added to supply our homes with pollutant-free tap water.
Unfortunately, the quality of water has declined over the years, to the point where you can actually smell and even taste the chlorine that is present in tap water!
That’s why nowadays people are opting for water-ionizers in home water purification.
The most reliable and safe option to all this? Alkaline Water!
